The Drew Valley neighborhood is located in southeast Brookhaven between Dresden Drive and Buford Highway. Drew Valley was originally developed in 1954. Most of the homes are brick cottages or ranches and were constructed with three bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Many have since been renovated with additional bedrooms added. These homes were typically constructed as three bedrooms, 1 1/2 bath homes, but around 2009 residence began renovating, often adding rooms or reconstructing whole homes. Thus, the neighborhood is a mix of classic homes and newer construction.
This community offers a wonderful urban lifestyle while also offering large single family homes, giving it a bit of a suburban feel. Residents enjoy a strong civic association whose goal it is to build community and address social concerns. The well established neighborhood is located close to Briarwood Park. Briarwood Park has a playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, indoor basketball and outdoor fields. The park organizes sports year round for the youth in the area.

Drew Valley also enjoys city conveniences such as MARTA and malls including the up scale Phipps Plaza and Lenox Mall. It is within walking distance of Village Place Brookhaven. The village has upscale dining, home decorating shops, a pottery painting place, a quaint yogurt shop all with a community feel. It is also close to Town Brookhaven which has lovely boutiques, wonderful dining, as well as Publix grocery store. The public schools that service this neighborhood are Ashford Park and Chamblee Middle and High schools.
