The Ormewood Park area of East Atlanta is found just East of Grant Park and West of the East Atlanta Village, between Moreland Avenue and East Confederate Avenue. Homes  were first built dating back to 1892 when farmland was subdivided. The area steadily grew, especially after a boom of contruction right after World War I. The homes were mostly bungalows and Craftsman style houses. Many more cottage style homes were built after another phase of construction after World War II. Brick ranches then appeared during the 1950s. Many of the homes from all of these eras are still intact after preservation and renovation, and range from the mid $100s to mid $300s. Ormewood Park belongs to S.A.N.D.s, (South Atlantans for Neighborhood Development) and is close to the 25 acre Glenwood Park. The neighborhood is experiencing an exciting period of growth and renewal, providing great housing opportunities.
