Buckhead Diner

The Buckhead dinner is a well known destination in the Buckhead area. Residence of the area as well as those living in suburbs of Atlanta and visitors, tend to frequent this establishment to experience both the food and the ambiance. The Buckhead Diner has glimpses of what you would expect from a restaurant with “diner” in the name, but the atmosphere and décor tell you this diner is more than you would expect. From the outside, it is rather deceiving. Touches of whimsy include neon lights and chrome accents, but you are overwhelmingly struck by the gleaming rich look of hardwoods, white table clothes and pristine dressed wait staff. The menu appears to have traditional diner style choices, until you look closer and see that the hamburger is angus beef, the meatloaf is veal and wild mushroom and the open faced BLT has grilled Atlantic salmon.

Ask any Buckhead native, or even a transplant that has lived here just a few years and they will tell you that the diner is a MUST, and at least for the first visit, order the “homemade” blue cheese chips. Because, if you don’t order them, then you leave the restaurant and tell friends and colleagues that you went to the diner, you will be asked how you liked the chips. You won’t be disappointed, unless you are hoping for “Ley’s” style chips. These chips are dripping with their signature blue cheese. If you are absolutely sure that blue cheese chips are not going to appeal to you, go for the calamari. They call it “Sweet-heat” because of it’s sweet and sour sauce that includes roasted peanuts and red peppers, and some kind of addictive flavor that will make you come back for more! And finish your meal with the white chocolate banana cream pie, again, even if banana cream pie is not your favorite. This pie is large enough to share with at least two other people, so if by chance you don’t like it, no worries it will not go to waste. But the pie is to die for, it could be a meal in itself if you could get over the guilt of eating desert for dinner.

Because the diner is so well known, it is recommended that you make reservations, than come earlier than you appointed time. Reservations are recommended especially if you plan to dine during peak hours any day of the week, because there is always a crowd. Even in this economy when most restaurants are seeing a significant slow in patrons and many businesses are closing, the Buckhead Diner is always packed.

What Our Clients Are Saying!

After 3 months with another Real estate company, 2 open houses and lots of talk, you sold my house in 3 weeks. It allowed me to meet the deadline to close on my new house. If I had missed that, it would have cost me $7,000. Great Job! It is obvious why you are in the “top 10” in Atlanta! - Craig Redecker

"Dawn Realtors are the dream team for those who want the very best experience in selling a home! It's a pleasure to refer Dawn Realtors to my neighbors and friends!" - J Bronson

I hired Dawn Realtors to sell an investment condominium for me. Dawn made the process so easy for me. They staged the property so it showed beautifully. We had the condo under contract within the first week for nearly asking price. I had a few difficult title issues during the process and Dawn handled the issues seamlessly. It was great to have such knowledgeable and experienced realtors on my team!

- Mary Ann Pegg

Great experience working with Dawn Realtors...lots of personal attention and good feedback on showings. - Kathleen Gansereit
